Passenger Security Screening Procedure at Orlando International Airport

Passenger screening security measures, including Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT), are in place at all U.S. airports. This technology detects a wide range of threats to transportation security in a matter of seconds, using millimeter wave and backscatter imaging technology. Alternative passenger screening methods include a physical pat down search which will include sensitive and personal areas. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has implemented strict measures to protect passenger privacy which is ensued through the anonymity of the image.

According to the TSA, “Additional screening occurs when an individual sets off the alarm on the (regular) metal detector, or if he or she is selected for random additional screening.”

Comments should be submitted to the TSA at https://contact.tsa.dhs.gov/DynaForm.aspx?FormID=10
