ORLANDO, FL - Flight operations at Orlando International Airport are still suspended until the impact of weather conditions associated with Hurricane Jeanne pass. At this time, high winds and rain conditions prevent normal flight activity. There are preliminary reports of damage that include water intrusions
in the main terminal and airsides. At this time, maintenance and operations
staffs are assessing the damage for a more complete evaluation of storm
impact. Recovery and clean up operations will begin as soon as possible.
As more information is available, updates will follow.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority does not determine if flights
are cancelled or if they continue to operate from the airport. The airlines,
federal agencies and Authority personnel will determine when weather and
facilities recovery permit normal flight operations to resume.
Passengers should check with their airline for information on the status
of their flights before coming to the airport.
