ORLANDO, FL. - For the first time anywhere in Florida, you can now use your E-PASS and SunPass to pay for airport parking. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority in conjunction with the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority and Floridas Turnpike Enterprise have teamed together to provide another service and convenience to E-PASS/SunPass and airport visitors.
To inaugurate the new service, Jeffry Fuqua, Chairman of The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Allan Keen, Chairman of the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority and Evelio Suarez Director of Toll Operations for Floridas Turnpike Enterprise drove the first vehicles through the special E-PASS/SunPass gates.
"As Orlando International Airport continues to grow, we are always looking for ways to enhance customer service. With a record 31.1 million passengers using our facility last year, we are optimistic that, as the busiest airport in Florida, the addition of E-PASS/SunPass will help Orlando International stand out as Floridas premier airport in customer service and convenience," says Jeffry Fuqua, Chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
Customers of E-PASS and SunPass are able to use their transponders to Enter airport parking garages through specially designated lanes. Park in normal parking spaces anywhere inside the garages. They will then be able to Pay from their E-PASS/SunPass account for the time used by driving through specially designated lanes at the exit. If drivers use E-PASS/SunPass to enter the garage they must use E-PASS/SunPass to exit.
