y9/3/2008 - Seventh Straight Month of Over Three Million Passengers at Orlando International Airport

ORLANDO, FL. – The month of July was the seventh straight month this year of over three million passengers moving through Orlando International Airport (MCO). The total of 3.2 million {3,220,474} reflected a reduction of 2.77 percent from this time last year.

Even with the current economic environment and airline capacity reductions, international traffic recorded double digit growth of nearly 15 percent in July. This helped to offset a 3.9 percent decline in domestic travel for the month.

Total operations at Orlando Executive Airport declined 4.25 percent for the month of July when compared to 2007.

Orlando International Airport is ranked second in overall passenger satisfaction for large airports nationwide according to the latest J.D. Power and Associates study.
