The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) welcomes back Martinair service to Orlando International Airport. The return of Martinair is further evidence of the importance of international travel to the economic vitality of Central Florida. The addition of Martinair keeps MCO on track to have our international seat capacity reach 10% of our total capacity. This represents a 130 percent increase from the low set after 9/11/2001 when only 4.3 percent of total seat capacity was comprised of international traffic.
Assignment Desk Note:
There will be a water salute for the Martinair arrival. Your media crew will need to be escorted to a prime viewing location for photography and video of the event. Media should gather in front of the Starbuck’s Coffee shop on the “A” side of the third level of the main terminal building in the Hyatt Hotel Atrium no later than 5:45 p.m.
