ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL RANKS IN TOP FIVE AIRPORTS NATIONWIDE
The 2010 J.D. Power and Associates North American Airport Satisfaction Study rankings are
out and Orlando International Airport (MCO) placed highest in the large airport category in the state of
Florida and one of the top four best airports in the United States. The rankings are based on a
number of criteria including: airport accessibility; baggage claim; check-in/ baggage check
processing; terminal facilities; security checkpoints; and food and retail services, all of which are
areas MCO received above average scores.
In the latest study Orlando International ranked just five points behind the number one airport, Detroit Metropolitan, and just one point behind Denver International and Minneapolis / St. Paul International, which tied for second. In 2008 MCO ranked third after ranking 14th in 2006.
