ORLANDO, FL. – In celebration of Independence Day, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority with the Hyatt Regency at Orlando International Airport will honor America’s history with a patriotic concert by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra called Liberty Weekend.
This year’s theme, “Freedom – The Sound of America”, will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29, during the annual Fourth of July spectacular. Airport leaders invite the community to attend the complimentary performance and enjoy The Orlando Experience by visiting the state’s busiest airport.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. and takes place in the atrium of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Prior to the concert, at 7:45 p.m. one Central Floridian will be presented the Colonel Joe Kittinger Award, which was created to recognize and honor a local veteran for his or her outstanding service and contributions to aviation, the Country, and the Central Florida Community.
The concert is open to the public and those attending the event will receive three hours of complimentary garage parking.
For ease of parking, please follow the blue signs to Terminal C parking garage.
When entering Parking Garage C, pull a parking ticket. Attendees will be given a validated ticket at the event. Validation does not apply to valet parking or E-Pass/Sunpass.
